Pocket Maplestory - Luminous Build


Luminous Build Guide
Luminous is the 8th class to be released in Pocket Maplestory. He has a dark/light skill system where you will need to repeatedly switch between using dark and light skills in order to enter the ‘Equilibrium’ state for maximum DPS. Hence, you are unable to just spam a certain skill. Although Luminous is a Magician class, he is quite tanky and is able to withstand high damage due to his Standard Magic Guard skill whereby 85% of the damage taken will be absorbed by your Mana pool.

Leveling as Luminous is exceptionally fast by spamming Moonlight Spear when you are in ‘Eclipse’ state. You are able to kill multiple enemies (even if they are 20+ levels above you) in a wide area within a second using that skill. There are no cooldown and it consumes 0 MP in ‘Eclipse’ state. A trick to quickly enter the ‘Eclipse’ state is to go back to the character screen or to enter and exit a random dungeon. As I love to Auto-Combat, I added till my Dexterity hits 150 to allow my character to grind effortlessly without the need of any healing pets till level 140.

Just for Information:
‘Sunfire’ state: +50% Light Magic Damage, heals 1% HP per Light Magic Attack.
‘Eclipse’ state: +50% Dark Magic Damage, Dark Magic cost 0 MP!

1st Job – 26 SP

Standard Magic Guard
Prerequisite. Passive that consumes MP for 85% of the damage taken! Also permanently increase your Defence by 20.
Light Magic Enhancement
Passive that adds 5% to Light Magic ATT. As only 1 enhancement can be learnt, this is not recommended as Light skills does lower damage than Dark skills.
Dark Magic Enhancement
Passive that adds 5% to Dark Magic ATT.
Light Speed
Add 1 for mobility.
Mana Extension
Prerequisite. A buff that adds 15% MP for 180s (It adds 30% MP at max level).
2nd Job – 36 SP
Blessing of Darkness
Passive that forms a dark orb when you evade attacks. 1 SP is added here to provide a little boost to ATT and decrease the damage you received by 32%!
Spell Mastery
Prerequisite. Passive that gives you 10% Mastery and 10 ATT.
High Wisdom
Prerequisite. Passive that permanently increase INT by 40!

Photic Meditation
Prerequisite. A buff that adds 40 ATT for 180s.
Spectre Light
Prerequisite.
Moonlight Spear
Prerequisite. An OP skill for levelling and for fighting against King Pepe! It does a lot of AoE damage to all monsters around you. Be sure to spam it in ‘Eclipse’ state!
Death Scythe
Prerequisite. A skill that does huge amount of AoE damage! Use this whenever possible, especially in ‘Equilibrium’ state!
4th Job – 130 SP
Magic Mastery
Passive that adds 30% Mastery, 30 ATT and 15% Critical Attack.
Darkness Mastery
Passive that makes it easier to enter ‘Equilibrium’ state, extend its duration by 5s, and improves the damage of Death Scythe.
Dark Crescendo
Buff that gives you 80% chance of increasing your damage by 2%. Able to stack up to 15 times at max skill level. Not recommended as this buff is weaker when compared to Darkness Sorcery.
Darkness Sorcery
Buff that adds 80 Accuracy and 40% final damage for 180s.
Light Reflection
Your main Light DPS skill in ‘Sunfire’ state.
Apocalypse
Your main Darkness DPS skill in ‘Eclipse’ state. This skill does more damage than Light Reflection.
