NunKkot-Korean Dessert Cafe Food Review at Sin Ming Centre

There had been so much craze about Korean food and desserts these days thanks to Kdrama! I’m the typical girl who goes crazy over Korean food and here am I trying out NunKkot at Thomson Village! I was wondering what the meaning of NunKkot is and I found out that it meant 'Ice Flower'. What a beautiful and sweet name for a cafe!
Tucked in a small and cozy corner of Upper Thomson Road, I would prefer to have my catch-up session with friends here instead at the bustling Udders or Salted Caramel. However, the air-conditioned seats are limited though as the shop is really small.

I saw this Bingsu deal on Groupon and as it was an impromptu decision to head over after dinner, I called to ask if it could be redeemed on mobile. It was a pleasant surprise to know that they are having a 1 for 1 promotion which is a better deal than Groupon! The portion was pretty huge and serves 2 person per bingsu. The waiting time were really long but if you’re here for a catch-up session with your friends, then no hurries! They would wind down the curtains whilst preparing and I guess they do have some trade secrets? Then again, it was hard to call for them and you have to wait for them before placing orders as they have limited staffs.

Mango Berry Bingsu

Mango Cheesecake Bingsu

Choco Brownie Bingsu
(They do not have brownie and serves us more ice cream instead)

Oreo Bingsu
Overall, I feel that the Mango Cheesecake Bingsu is the BEST as the cheesecake was really rich and authentic!

Guo Fu Steamboat Ala-Carte Buffet Food Review

Guo Fu Steamboat offers individual mini steamboats and there are 9 soup bases to choose from.

Guo Fu made ordering as breeze as you just have to tick those you wish to order on laminated menu. The waitresses will wipe the ticks off and you can order again for next few rounds until you're full!
If you love steamboat but does not like to share, this is the place for you!
They usually have this ' Buy 3 get 1 Free' Promotion during festive seasons and you may like to keep a look-out on them!

I love Ala-Carte Buffet as they are neater, less messy and most importantly, more hygienic!

You may request for them to change the fuel once it runs out.

Lots of vege!

Very Crispy Pancake!

Xiao Long Bao side dish

Fresh and sweet oranges!

Yechun Xiao Jiang Nan Supreme Tastes Food Review at Marina Square

Chanced upon this Groupon deal online and thought that it would be such a good purchase for Mother's day!

Some notable dishes include the Black Pepper Crabs, Dong Po Meat, Watercress Pork Ribs Soup, Fried Rice, Yangzhou Style Fried Noodles, Custard Buns, Sweet and Sour Pork and Xiao Long Bao! (OMO. Did I mention everything that I’ve eaten? Let’s find out!)

In case you're wondering where to head over on Father's day which is coming up in a month's time, I would recommend this deal as it's a really good buy!

Bai Zhan Ji (ice cold dish)

Yangzhou Style Fried Noodles

Salt and Pepper Prawns

Steamy Custard Buns

Sweet and Sour Spare Ribs (You can skip this)

Sweet and Sour Pork
(MUST TRY)

Black Pepper Crabs
(MUST TRY)

Fried Rice
(MUST TRY)

Dong Po Meat (MUST TRY)

Salt and Pepper Pork Ribs

Xiao Long Bao
(MUST TRY)

Spring roll

Watercress Soup
(MUST TRY)

Pork Cutlet? Didn't order this and couldn't find this on the menu

Sichuan Hot and Spicy Soup

Deep Fried Cuttlefish Strips

Pig Intestine without the La Mien

Fried Chicken Wings

Red dates with white fungus soup

Coconut Sago

Menu
Do note that you could only order three baskets of Xiao Long Bao steamed pork dumpling for table of six pax and below and five baskets for table of seven pax and above. The Salt and Pepper Prawns is also limited to one serving per table (Lucky not for the custard buns and the black pepper crabs!) You also have to pay for service charge and GST to the merchant. Overall price would be at $28 per person.

We ordered Pu Er tea and the price is a little misleading as it was stated $1.50 for a pot but they ended up charging $1.50 for one person even though a pot was used. The fried dishes are also a tad too oily for my liking. They could have done better by putting them in an oil absorbent towel before serving.

The serving time was quite alright when we entered at 5pm. However, when the crowd comes in at 530 pm, our orders were being mixed up several times. There were also limited staffs and one of the female waitress was quite impolite when we made our orders. However, the food and price were worthwhile after all!

Ah Yat Abalone Forum Restaurant Dim Sum Food Review

I bought this Groupon deal online for Ah Yat Abalone Dim Sum Buffet.

The food are nice; just that the quantity is too much per serving and I was not able to try all the dishes. I have no idea why but Dim Sum always make me full easily. I wonder why? I was so full that I recorded on my phone that I will never ever have craving for buffet because it makes me slip into a food coma :X

Steamed Beancurd roll with oyster sauce

Steamed Pork Ribs

Steamed bun with custard and salted egg- crust too hard for my liking

Siew Mai

Ah Yat Steamed Shrimp Dumpling

Lotus Leaf Rice

Ee- Mee

Deep-Fried Crispy Shrimp Dumpling

Chicken Wings

Spring Rolls

Soup Noodles with Roasted Duck- this tasted horrible and the duck are full of bones

Deep Fried Dumpling

Pan-fried Turnip Cake- my favourite!
