Pocket Maplestory - Shade Build

Shade Build Guide
(Updated on Oct 2016)
Shade is the 9th class to be released in Pocket Maplestory. Despite Shade’s long hair, Shade is actually a guy! Most of his skills are passive which will activate whenever you use normal attacks or skill attacks. As Shade has poorer mobility compared to other classes., it is best to make use of the Auto-combat ‘teleport’ or the Contract Space skill while training or travelling. Shade normal/skill attacks can activate his passive, summoning fox spirit or weakening monsters. He is a good tank with high defense and HP leeching.

However, the disadvantage of Shade is the lack of AoE skills. His two larger AoE skills have a cooldown of about 20 seconds.

Extra tips: As shade do not have high melee damage, auto-combat is slow till level 108 when you get your 4th job passive skills. If you plan to auto-combat all the way, it is recommended to get a fashion weapon (cost at least 4000 candies) which will boost your Attack by 36 and Critical Attack Rate by 4. Always enhance your weapon to maximize your damage. Be sure to be in a guild for guild buffs. They give bonus stats and Attack %!

Players who rather play themselves will not have any 'slow' leveling issue! Shade's Blade Imp skills are able to 1-hit-KO every monster!

Pocket Maplestory - Luminous Build

Luminous Build Guide
Luminous is the 8th class to be released in Pocket Maplestory. He has a dark/light skill system where you will need to repeatedly switch between using dark and light skills in order to enter the ‘Equilibrium’ state for maximum DPS. Hence, you are unable to just spam a certain skill. Although Luminous is a Magician class, he is quite tanky and is able to withstand high damage due to his Standard Magic Guard skill whereby 85% of the damage taken will be absorbed by your Mana pool.

Leveling as Luminous is exceptionally fast by spamming Moonlight Spear when you are in ‘Eclipse’ state. You are able to kill multiple enemies (even if they are 20+ levels above you) in a wide area within a second using that skill. There are no cooldown and it consumes 0 MP in ‘Eclipse’ state. A trick to quickly enter the ‘Eclipse’ state is to go back to the character screen or to enter and exit a random dungeon. As I love to Auto-Combat, I added till my Dexterity hits 150 to allow my character to grind effortlessly without the need of any healing pets till level 140.

Just for Information:
‘Sunfire’ state: +50% Light Magic Damage, heals 1% HP per Light Magic Attack.
‘Eclipse’ state: +50% Dark Magic Damage, Dark Magic cost 0 MP!

A tip on fighting King Pepe easily as Luminous:

Pocket Maplestory - Mark of Honor Farming Locations

Mark of Honor Farming Locations
(Updated on Dec 2016)
Different monsters from different locations drop the Mark of Honor for each characters. I have compiled and tested most of the locations where you can farm Mark of Honor in the tables below. Note that Mark of Honor does not drop from monsters that are 16 levels lower than your character. However, you can still farm the medals from low level monsters in the Guild dungeon – Guild Fortress of Honor. Do let me know if there any are other maps that I did not include!

Pocket Maplestory - Hidden Maps

I found some hidden maps for easy training in Pocket Maplestory and thought it would be good to share. Maplestory had always been my all-time favorite game and I’m so glad they released it as an app! It took me some time and effort to do this up and hope you can encourage me through some comments below? (^0^)//

I will show you a screenshot of the ‘My Location’ and ‘Path’ as well as the place that I’m standing at so that you know where to go for the hidden map! You could press Ctrl and 'F' button together to look for the Hidden maps in the different areas!

Pocket Maplestory - Dual Blade Build

Dual Blade Build Guide (For Fast Dojo/Dungeon Clear Rate)
Dual blade class is the hardest to train from level 1 to 116. Auto-combat is slow as compared to any other classes. However, leveling from 116 to 150 is fast due to the huge AoE range of Sudden Raid. For difficult bosses such as King Pepe, I tend to spam Sudden Raid and Dark Sight combo and stay hidden till my Sudden Raid is usable again. For easy bosses or Dojo, I use Triple Stab as it does more DPS than Sudden Raid. It is recommended to add more Dexterity during the early levels to aid in Auto-Combat.

Pocket Maplestory - Mechanic Build Guide

Mechanic Build Guide (High Defense and HP)
Mechanic has very high defense and HP due to Mech: Prototype and Extreme Mech skills. Healing Robot is also useful as it heals a percentage of my total HP. Luck or Critical is not needed as Mech: Siege Mode gives 100% Critical chance for normal attacks. However, Mechanic have one of the slowest clear speed for Dojo at the moment.

Pocket Maplestory - Xenon Build

Xenon Build Guide
Xenon is a good class that level very quickly. I prefer Blade Dancing more than Mecha Purge as my main skill. Blade Dancing is flashier skill, have a larger AoE radius and does comparable damage to Mecha Purge. Adding 1 to Aegis is great as it automatically shoots a missile when you evade or got hit by monsters (Also useful for Auto-Combat). Pin Point Rocket is useful for leveling and helps you to do your quests and kill bosses very quickly. At level 150, I reset my skills to remove Pin Point Rocket and max as many passives as possible. This gives me more survivability and damage, allowing me to clear Dojo faster with only Blade Dancing.

Pocket Maplestory - Demon Slayer Build

Demon Slayer Build Guide (High Defense)
My Demon Slayer just hit level 140 by auto combating without any problems. High Dexterity and Obsidian Skin (Damage Taken = -38%) made her very tanky. Raven Storm is a must-have for Demon Slayer (Free potion anyone?). Demon Pact is another good skill that does a lot of damage with a short cooldown of 3s. Dark Metamorphosis provides a buff that increase HP, MP, Attack and Critical Rate.

Pocket Maplestory - Angelic Buster Build

Angelic Buster Build Guide (For Fast Dojo Clear Rate)
Angelic Buster is one of the best class for Dojo and Dungeon due to Soul Resonance. I have played my Angelic Buster till level 140+ and have tested many different builds. The most common builds from Korea and Japan hinges on 2 main skills, namely Soul Resonance and Finale Ribbon. For buffs, I have learnt Iron Blossom instead of Dragon Whistle for survivability. Even with 150 Strength and good equipment, it is easy to die from 1-2 hits in Mushroom Castle (10% Mesos and Exp penalty is very painful...). Iron Blossom has saved my life countless times <3. You can reset your skills and replace Iron Blossom with Dragon Whistle after you reach level 150 and have better equipment for faster Dojo clear rate!

Skills that I bring to dungeon:
Power Transfer (Buff), Iron Blossom (Buff), Soul Resonance and Finale Ribbon or,
Pink Pummel (Utility), Dragon Whistle (Buff), Soul Resonance and Finale Ribbon
