Mechanic Build Guide (High Defense and HP)
Mechanic
has very high defense and HP due to Mech: Prototype and Extreme Mech skills. Healing
Robot is also useful as it heals a percentage of my total HP. Luck or Critical
is not needed as Mech: Siege Mode gives 100% Critical chance for normal
attacks. However, Mechanic have one of the slowest clear speed for Dojo at the
moment.

Hello, thanks for being the only person who has up to date information on Pocket Maplestory! I was wondering, if I wanted to make my Mechanic as tanky as humanly possible (preferably without consumables), how would I distribute the stats? Full STR for example (and is that viable)? Also, I was wondering why almost every character gets dexterity. Finally, if I put a bunch of points into a stat, it increases the sub-stats(?) in a strange way. For example: if I put a point in STR it gives DEF sometimes and none at others. Could you please explain that? And do these have diminishing values (do putting more points into a stat increase/decrease the value of the next point)? I would appreciate it if you could answer all these questions since I'm brand new to the game, and keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteHello! Sorry for the late reply, I was overseas till today!
DeleteSure, but I do not recommend full STR especially if your character is funded. If you love to auto-combat, I suggest adding STR to boost your DEF so that monsters will only inflict <200 damage to you. HP recovery and HP Steal will ensure your survival. Any excess STR will only reduce your DPS.
If your mechanic have:
a) 1400 DEF, lv152 monsters will deal about 900-1300 damage to you.
b) 1500 DEF, lv152 monsters will deal 400-600 damage.
c) 1550 DEF, lv152 monsters will deal 190-220 damage.
d) 1600 DEF, lv152 monsters will only deal 1 damage.
I added DEX on most characters as they gives more DEF (Kaiser, Dual Blade, etc...) and gives more ATK (ANgelic Buster, Mechanic, etc...). This is the reason why most characters have some DEX on them.
Each stats actually improves a few sub-stats. For instance, every 1 DEX will give 0-4 ATT, and 0-1 DEF/ACC/EVA/Mastery. Stats do not have diminishing values. It is recommended to go full DPS (especially for Dojo) by adding the stats that give your character ATT once you have good DEF from equipment. Adding high STR for mechanic will allow you to reach lv150 quickly via auto-combat leveling.
Feel free to let me know if you have any other questions! Glad that my blog is able to help fellow players like you!
