Charcoal Thai Food Review at NEX

I always wanted to try out Charcoal Thai and I was so happy chancing upon it on Eatigo (which they had since removed) and brought my family there for a feast!
We were there pretty early and decided to have a try for both Charcoal and Gas Stove buffet as the waitress said that Gas stove cooks up faster even though Charcoal tasted better!

The Charcoal mookata is 2x bigger than the Gas Stove in terms of soup depth and bbq area. Overall, I think the staffs were very friendly and cleared up our plates and brought our orders really quickly. My family and I were so happy about our experience here!

Big Charcoal Mookata

Chicken Soup

Gas Stove Mookata

Tom Yum Soup

Raw food:
Tom Yum Chicken Thigh was very well marinated!

Marinated pork doesn't taste as nice as the chicken but still good!

Fried Rice with Prawn - not so nice though :X
I was so excited about the fried rice and mee goreng as I thought you could never go wrong with them! But they were really just clumps of rice with chicken or prawns that they stir-fry and put on the rice with mixed beans for you.

Mee Goreng - not so nice too :X

Fried Rice with Chicken - very normal fried rice :X

Can you see how disappointed I was? But the bbq items made up for it though!
Their Clementi outlet has all these six noodle options except that they only have Gas Stove and not Charcoal. My mum preferred Charcoal Mookoata and that's why we gave it a try at NEX instead!

Dessert- the melon jelly is very nice!
